Terms and Conditions

A. Promotion-Specific Terms and Conditions

  1. This Promotion:
    1. is offered by HSBC Bank (Singapore) Limited (“HSBC“, “we” or “us“);
    2. commences on 1 November 2025 and ends on 31 December 2025 (subject to Clause 2, Clause 3, and Clause 4 of this Section A below or such other date(s) as we may reasonably determine) (the “Promotional Period“); and
    3. is applicable to our new and existing customers who meet all the following criteria (collectively referred to as “Eligible Customers” and each, an “Eligible Customer“):
      1. who hold one or more main HSBC Credit Cards (except HSBC US Dollar Cards, HSBC Corporate Cards, and HSBC Debit Cards) issued by HSBC in Singapore (each, a “Card“) as a primary credit cardholder; and
      2. whose Card account is in good standing and conducted in a proper and satisfactory manner (as determined by us in our reasonable discretion) over the entire Promotional Period and at the time of fulfillment.
  2. To participate in this Promotion, an Eligible Customer must (in no particular order):
    1. Register their interest via the HSBC Credit Card Campaign Registration Form (“E-Form“) using the correct Gift Code FESTIVE within the Promotional Period (each successfully registered Eligible Customer shall be a “Registered Cardholder” and the Card used by him/her to make the registration will be a “Registered Card“). If the Gift Code consists of a spelling error, the registration will be void and you will not be eligible for this Promotion.
    2. Be among the first 1,000 Registered Cardholders to charge a minimum Qualifying Spend (as defined below) of S$5,000, with a minimum of 10 qualifying transactions within the Promotional Period to their Registered Card(s); OR
    3. Be among the first 544 Registered Cardholders to charge a minimum Qualifying Spend of S$8,000 with a minimum of 10 qualifying transactions within the Promotion Period to their Registered Cards(s).
    4. Eligible Customers only need to register their interest once during the Promotional Period to participate in the Promotion.
  3. All Qualifying Spend (as defined below) with transaction dates charged within the Promotional Period must be posted to a Registered Cardholder’s Card account by 8 January 2026. HSBC accepts no liability for any late submission of any transaction by merchants for whatever reason.
  4. Each Registered Cardholder who has satisfied the relevant requirements under Clause 2(ii) shall be entitled to one S$200 worth of GrabGifts digital voucher (the “Gift 1“); and each Registered Cardholder who has satisfied the relevant requirements under Clause 2(iii) shall be entitled to one S$400 GrabGifts digital voucher (the “Gift 2“), in each case as determined by the Bank in its sole discretion (“Gift“). A Registered Cardholder who has satisfied all the relevant requirements under Clause 2 shall be referred to as a “Qualified Cardholder“.

  5. For the purposes of this Promotion:

    Qualifying Spend” shall mean posted retail transactions including Local Retail Transactions, Online Transactions and Overseas Transactions on eligible categories charged to a Card account of an Eligible Customer (as defined below) and/or to the account of the supplementary cardholder of the relevant Eligible Customer (as defined below) during the Promotional Period.

    Local Retail Transactions” shall mean retail transactions which are successfully carried out in Singapore dollars and charged to a Card account and/or to the account of the supplementary cardholder of the relevant Eligible Customer.

    Online Transactions” shall mean all retail transactions successfully charged to a Card account and/or to the account of a supplemental cardholder of an Eligible Customer made via the internet and processed by the respective merchants/acquirers as an online transaction type through the MasterCard International Incorporated and/or Visa Worldwide networks during the Promotional Period.

    Overseas Transactions” shall mean all overseas transactions successfully carried out outside Singapore and charged in foreign currency to a Card account and/or to the account of a supplemental cardholder of an Eligible Customer during the Promotional Period.

    For the avoidance of doubt, the Eligible Categories are determined by the following Merchant Category Codes (“MCC“). A Merchant Category Code (MCC) is a four-digit number assigned to a merchant/business by the merchant’s acquiring bank. The acquiring bank provides the credit card payment facilities used by the merchant, and it determines and applies (with respect to the account), the MCC which in its view best describes the merchant activity. HSBC does not determine the merchant’s MCC.

    Excluded Transactions” shall mean any of the following (which shall, where applicable, be determined based on the transaction descriptions reflected in HSBC’s system and the merchant category codes from Visa / MasterCard):

    • Foreign exchange transactions (including but not limited to Forex.com);
    • Donations and payments to charitable, social organisations and religious organisations;
    • Quasi-cash transactions (including but not limited to transactions relating to money orders, traveler’s checks, gaming related transactions, lottery tickets and gambling);
    • Payments made to financial institutions, securities brokerages or dealers (including but not limited to the trading of securities, investments or crypto-currencies of any kind);
    • Payments on money payments/transfers (including but not limited to Paypal, SKR skrill.com, CardUp, SmoovPay, iPayMy);
    • Payments to any professional services provider (including but not limited to GOOGLE Ads, Facebook Ads, Amazon Web Services, MEDIA TRAFFIC AGENCY INC);
    • Top-ups, money transfers or purchase of credits of prepaid cards, stored-value cards or e-wallets (including but not limited to Grab Top-Up, EZ-Link, Transitlink, NETS Flashpay and Youtrip);
    • Payments in connection with any government institutions and/or services (including but not limited to court costs, fines, bail and bond payment);
    • Payments to educational institutions;
    • Any AXS (including AXS Pay+Earn) and ATM transactions;
    • Any payments or transactions on Carousell;
    • Tax payments;
    • Payments for cleaning, maintenance and janitorial services (including property management fees);
    • Payments to insurance companies (including but not limited to sales, underwriting, premiums and insurance services);
    • Payments on utilities;
    • The monthly instalment amounts under the HSBC Spend Instalment and HSBC 0% Card Instalment Plans; In the case of HSBC Spend Instalment, only the total purchase amount will qualify as a Qualifying Spend in the month of purchase.
    • Balance transfers, fund transfers, cash advances, finance charges, late charges, HSBC’s Cash Instalment Plan, any fees charged by HSBC;
  6. In the event that a Registered Card is voluntarily or involuntarily cancelled or terminated or suspended for any reasons whatsoever, or a Qualified Cardholder is determined by HSBC not to have fulfilled the conditions of the Promotion for any reason, HSBC reserves the right to disqualify the Qualified Cardholder from receiving any Gift.
  7. Registrations in any other format, and/or e-form registrations with incorrect information will be automatically disqualified. An acknowledgement of participation will be displayed on the website after the e-form registration has been submitted. This acknowledgement of participation does not equate to qualification of the Gift, even if the Qualifying Spend requirement is met.
  8. All Qualifying Spend transactions charged to the Cards in the name of the same Cardholder will be aggregated together to qualify for the minimum Qualifying Spend. HSBC is not responsible for any failure or delay in the transmission of Qualifying Spend transactions by any party including but not limited to acquiring merchants, merchant establishments, or any telecommunications provider.
  9. Supplementary cardholders are not eligible for this Promotion. However, for each main Cardholder who is a Registered Cardholder, Qualifying Spend made by supplementary cardholders will be consolidated under such main Cardholder’s Card account for the purpose of accumulating the relevant minimum Qualifying Spend.
  10. The maximum number of the Gift will be capped at 1 for each Eligible Customer, regardless of the minimum Qualifying Spend during the Promotional Period.
  11. Barring any unforeseen delays, a redemption SMS containing details of the redemption of the Gift will be sent to the relevant Qualified Cardholder’s registered mobile number in HSBC’s records by 28 February 2026.

    For the avoidance of doubt, as at the relevant date of fulfilment of the Gift, if a customer does not fulfil ALL of the eligibility criteria under this Promotion (as set out in Clause 2 of this Section A above) (e.g., his/her account is not in good standing as at the fulfilment date of the relevant reward) and adhere to these Promotional Terms and Conditions, he/she will no longer be eligible to receive the relevant Gift.

    Any request for early fulfilment or partial fulfilment of a Gift will not be granted or entertained by us.

  12. If there any issues regarding the non-receipt of the redemption SMS, Qualified Cardholders must contact HSBC by 31 March 2026. In the event of any disputes in relation to the Promotion, HSBC’s decision shall be final.
  13. SMS delivery is dependent on the relevant telecommunication service providers. HSBC is not responsible in any manner whatsoever for any non-receipt of, or delay in the receipt of, any SMS by any party.
  14. The Gift is not exchangeable for reward points, credit or kind in all cases, whether in whole or in part. The Gift is also not transferable or replaceable. We may substitute the Gift with other item(s) of similar value. There will be no replacement of lost, defaced, damaged or stolen Gift after issuance of such.
  15. Use of the Gift is subject to the terms and conditions of the merchant(s) providing the relevant products and/or services. Please refer to the relevant merchant(s) for details. We are not a supplier of the products and/or services provided by the merchant(s) involved in the Promotion and will not accept any liability in relation thereto.
  16. The Promotion is not valid in conjunction with other offers, campaigns, promotions, privileges and vouchers, which are concurrently held during the Promotional Period, except for the promotions stated below, or such other promotions as we may otherwise specify from time to time:
    • HSBC Credit Card Sign-up Gift Promotions

    In other words, the same customer cannot receive both the Gift under this Promotion, and any other reward, gift or account credit or promotional rate from other promotions, other than those which are stated above or as we may otherwise specify from time to time.

  17. Other general terms and conditions governing this Promotion apply. Please refer to the other terms and conditions set out under the section headed “General Terms and Conditions” for details. The Promotion-Specific Terms and Conditions and the General Terms and Conditions shall collectively be referred to as the “Promotional Terms and Conditions“.

B. General Terms and Conditions

  1. The HSBC Credit Card Terms, and the relevant product terms (collectively, the “Credit Card Terms“) will apply to govern the relevant product respectively. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between these Promotional Terms and Conditions and the Credit Card Terms, in respect of this Promotion, the Promotional Terms and Conditions shall apply to the extent of the conflict or inconsistency.
  2. Your Personal Data

    By participating in the Promotion and providing your personal information (such as your name, residential address, e-mail address and /or mobile number) (collectively, “your Personal Data“) to us, you agree and consent to us, our agents and their respective authorised service providers collecting, using, disclosing and/or sharing your Personal Data for the following purposes:

    1. your participation in the Promotion (including facilitation of the fulfilment of rewards (if any));
    2. our compliance with applicable laws, rules and/or regulations, requirements or requests issued by any legal, regulatory, government or tax authority having jurisdiction over us or a court of competent jurisdiction (including any tax reporting requirements); and
    3. such other purposes as set forth in our Data Privacy Policy.

  3. We do not provide any tax, legal or accounting advice to you. You should seek professional advice if you are unsure about any tax or other obligations which you may have (such as reporting or filing requirements) arising from your participation in the Promotion.
  4. We shall be entitled to a reasonable period of time to process instructions and we may not complete a transaction on the same day of receipt of the customer’s application or instructions. We shall not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from any such delay in effecting instructions or transactions.
  5. We may determine in our reasonable discretion whether any given customer is eligible for this Promotion and/or whether such customer has met all of the relevant requirements under these Promotional Terms and Conditions.
  6. All transactions in a currency other than Singapore Dollars (“SGD“) will be notionally converted into SGD, at our prevailing exchange rate, to determine the transaction amount eligibility under this Promotion. The date on which the transaction is booked will be used for the purpose of determining the notional conversion rate into SGD for all transactions in a currency other than SGD. Where we are unable to provide a firm exchange rate quotation, we shall effect the transaction on the basis of a provisional exchange rate which shall be subject to adjustment when the actual exchange rate is ascertained and any resultant difference shall be debited/credited (as the case may be) to the customer through the originating account or any account that customer has with us or by such other means as determined by us. Foreign currency transactions are subject to risk of exchange rate fluctuation and exchange controls may apply to certain currencies from time to time. There may be a gain or loss when customers convert foreign currency. Customers are advised to make independent judgment with respect to any matter contained herein. For the avoidance of doubt, we shall not be liable for any delay in effecting such conversion, instructions or transactions.
  7. Our records in respect of the Promotion shall be conclusive and binding on you.
  8. We may revise these Promotional Terms and Conditions (including but not limited to varying the promotional mechanics under this Promotion or the Promotional Period), or withdraw or alter any part of this Promotion at any time, if it is reasonably necessary to:
    1. reflect changes to our operational costs, business operations, systems and processes, our arrangements with third parties or industry or market conditions or practice;
    2. give effect to applicable law, rule, regulation or change, requirement, order, notice, recommendation or guidance issued by any regulatory or governmental authority, stock exchange, or body having jurisdiction over us or a court of competent jurisdiction;
    3. align with standards or expectations on practices relating to banking and financial services, environmental, social and governance, consumer and investor protection, cyber, digital, technology, operational resilience or taxation; or
    4. otherwise protect our legitimate interests.

    The updates include amendments to:

    1. the Promotional Period;
    2. the eligibility criteria for the Promotion;
    3. the promotional rate or discount;
    4. the type of Gift;
    5. the redemption period or criteria for a Gift;
    6. the limit to the number of Gifts available for redemption under the Promotion;
    7. the validity period of a Gift; and/or
    8. the merchant(s) providing the Gift.

    To the extent reasonably practicable, we’ll give you reasonable notice of any changes to these Promotional Terms and Conditions before such change takes effect. Notification of any such changes may be placed at our branches, published on our website, sent through email or mobile, or via any other method we think is reasonably appropriate.

    If you don’t agree with a change, you can cease to participate in this Promotion.

  9. These Promotional Terms and Conditions are not and should not be construed as an offer, recommendation or the solicitation of an offer to enter into any transaction or adopt any hedging or trading strategy, nor shall it or any part of it form the basis of, or be relied on in connection with, any contract or commitment whatsoever. The information contained in this document is intended for Singapore residents only and should not be construed as a distribution, an offer to sell, or a solicitation to buy any financial product in any jurisdiction where such activities would be unlawful under the laws of such jurisdiction. The specific financial objectives, personal situation and particular needs of any person have not been taken in consideration. You should therefore not rely on it as financial advice. You should carefully consider whether the financial product is suitable and read the relevant product information before purchasing such product. Any transaction that you decide to make will be one of your own choice and at your own risk.
  10. None and no part of these Promotional Terms and Conditions may be recorded, reproduced, shared, copied, stored or transmitted in any form or by any means, whether electronic, mechanical, photocopying, photographing, recording or otherwise without our prior written consent. These Promotional Terms and Conditions remain our property and all our rights are reserved.
  11. These Promotional Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
