(A) Live your Adventure Lucky Draw with HSBC Credit Cards Terms & Conditions

  1. This Live your Adventure Lucky Draw with HSBC Credit Cards Campaign (“Promotion“) is valid from 21 June to 23 September 2024, both dates inclusive (“Promotional Period“) unless otherwise stated, and is offered by HSBC Bank (Singapore) Limited (“HSBC” or the “Bank“) to customers:
    1. who are residing in Singapore with a valid Singapore residential address;
    2. who hold one or more main HSBC credit cards (not including HSBC US dollar cards, HSBC corporate cards and HSBC debit cards) issued by HSBC in Singapore (each, a “Card“) as a primary credit cardholder; and
    3. whose Card account is in good standing with HSBC over the entire Promotional Period and at the time of fulfillment (as determined by HSBC at its discretion), (each such customer, a “Cardholder“).
  2. HSBC reserves the right to determine at our discretion whether:
    1. Cardholder(s) have met all the requirements of this Promotion; and
    2. Charges made to the Card qualify towards fulfilment of the relevant accumulated minimum Qualifying Spend (as defined below) set for the purposes of this Promotion.
  3. For the purpose of this Promotion:
    • Qualifying Spend” shall mean posted retail transactions(in the case of HSBC Spend Instalment, only the total purchase amount will qualify as a Qualifying Spend in the month of purchase), including Local Retail Transactions, Online Transactions and Overseas Transactions, charged to a Registered Card account (as defined below) and/or to the account of the supplementary cardholder of the relevant Registered Cardholder (as defined below) during the Promotional Period BUT shall exclude the Excluded Transactions.
    • Local Retail Transactions” shall mean retail transactions which are successfully carried out in Singapore dollars and charged to a Registered Card account and/or to the account of the supplementary cardholder of the relevant Registered Cardholder.
    • Online Transactions” shall mean all retail transactions successfully charged to a Registered Card account and/or to the account of a supplementary cardholder of a Registered Cardholder made via the internet and processed by the respective merchants/acquirers as an online transaction type through the MasterCard International Incorporated and/or Visa Worldwide networks during the Promotional Period.
    • Overseas Transactions” shall mean all overseas transactions successfully carried out outside Singapore and charged in foreign currency to a Registered Card account and/or to the account of a supplementary cardholder of a Registered Cardholder during the Promotional Period.
    • Excluded Transactions” shall mean any of the following (which shall, where applicable, be determined based on the transaction descriptions reflected in HSBC’s system and the merchant category codes from MasterCard and/or Visa):
      • Foreign exchange transactions (including but not limited to Forex.com);
      • Donations and payments to charitable, social organisations and religious organisations;
      • Quasi-cash transactions (including but not limited to transactions relating to money orders, traveler’s checks, gaming related transactions, lottery tickets and gambling);
      • Payments made to financial institutions, securities brokerages or dealers (including but not limited to the trading of securities, investments or crypto-currencies of any kind);
      • Payments on money payments/transfers (including but not limited to Paypal, SKR skrill.com, CardUp, SmoovPay, iPayMy);
      • Payments to any professional services provider (including but not limited to GOOGLE Ads, Facebook Ads, Amazon Web Services, MEDIA TRAFFIC AGENCY INC);
      • Top-ups, money transfers or purchase of credits of prepaid cards, stored-value cards or e-wallets (including but not limited to Grab Top-Up, EZ-Link, Transitlink, NETS Flashpay and Youtrip);
      • Payments in connection with any government institutions and/or services (including but not limited to court costs, fines, bail and bond payment) other than (tuition fee payments) to the following educational institutions:
        • National University – of Singapore (NUS);
        • Nanyang Technological University (NTU);
        • Singapore Management University (SMU);
        • Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD);
        • Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) and Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS);
        • Singapore Polytechnic (SP);
        • Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP);
        • Ngee Ann Polytechnic;
        • Republic Polytechnic;
        • Temasek Polytechnic;
      • Any AXS and ATM transactions;
      • Any payments or transactions on Carousell;
      • Tax payments;
      • Payments for cleaning, maintenance and janitorial services (including property management fees);
      • Payments to insurance companies (including but not limited to sales, underwriting, premiums and insurance services);
      • Payments on utilities;
      • The monthly instalment amounts under all card instalment plan (including HSBC 0% Card Instalment Payment Plan, HSBC PayLater Instalment Plan and HSBC Spend Instalment);
      • Total purchase amount under HSBC 0% Instalment Payment Plan and HSBC PayLater Instalment Plan;
      • Balance transfers, fund transfers, cash advances, finance charges, late charges, HSBC’s Cash Instalment Plan, any fees charged by HSBC;
      • Any unposted, cancelled, disputed and refunded transactions, and such other categories of transactions which HSBC may exclude from time to time.
  4. To participate in this Promotion, a Cardholder must meet one or more of the following criteria:
    1. successfully apply for a main HSBC Live+ Credit Card during the Promotional Period, and activate the issued HSBC Live+ Credit Card by 7 October 2024;
    2. successfully apply for any main HSBC credit card other than a HSBC Live+ Credit Card during the Promotional Period, and activate the issued HSBC credit card by 7 October 2024; and/or
    3. subject to Clause 6, register for this Promotion during the Promotional Period via the HSBC Credit Card Campaign Registration Form (“E-Form“) using the code ADVENTURE (each successfully registered Cardholder shall be a “Registered Cardholder“, and the Card used by him/her to make the registration will be a “Registered Card“), and carry out at least SGD500 in Qualifying Spend during the Promotional Period.
  5. Each Cardholder that meets the criteria specified in Clause 4 will be allocated the following chances to participate in the Draw (as defined below) (“Chances“):

    Clause 4c 5 Chances for every SGD500 in Qualifying Spend carried out by the Registered Cardholder during the Promotional Period
    • For the avoidance of doubt, Cardholders that meet more than one criterion under Clause 4 will be allocated an aggregate number of Chances based on the total number of criteria met. By way of illustration:
      1. If a Cardholder meets the criteria under Clauses 4a and 4b, they will be allocated 30 (20 + 10) Chances.
      2. If a Cardholder meets the criteria under Clauses 4a and 4c, and they carry out SGD1,000 in Qualifying Spend during the Promotional Period in accordance with Clause 4c, they will be allocated 30 (20 + 5 + 5) Chances.
  6. For the purposes of Clause 4c:
    1. Registrations that are not made using the E-Form, and registrations with incorrect information and/or with incorrect registration codes will be automatically disqualified.
    2. Cardholders only need to register for this Promotion once during the Promotional Period. An acknowledgement of participation will be displayed on the website after the E-Form has been submitted. This acknowledgement of participation is not an indication of whether a Cardholder has met the eligibility criteria of this Promotion.
    3. All Qualifying Spend must be posted to the Registered Cardholder’s Registered Card account by 30 September 2024.
    4. If any Qualifying Spend is cancelled or reversed during or after the Promotional Period, such cancelled or reversed amount shall not be counted for the purposes of determining whether the Registered Cardholder has met the Qualifying Spend requirements under Clause 4c.
    5. If a Registered Cardholder holds more than one Card in his/her name, all Qualifying Spend transactions charged to those Cards will be aggregated together for the purposes of determining whether the Registered Cardholder has met the Qualifying Spend requirements under Clause 4c.
    6. Supplementary cardholders are not eligible for this Promotion. However, if a main Registered Cardholder has one or more supplementary cards under his/her main Registered Card account, Qualifying Spend made by the supplementary cardholders will be consolidated under such main Registered Card account for the purpose of determining whether the Registered Cardholder has met the Qualifying Spend requirements under Clause 4c.
    7. The Qualifying Spend accumulated by a Registered Cardholder for this Promotion is not valid for the purpose of, and cannot be used for, any other offers or promotions unless otherwise stated.
  7. By participating in this Promotion, you agree that HSBC and Our Service Providers may collect, use and disclose your information (including personal data), as provided in this entry form, for the following purposes in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 and our data protection policy:
    1. To administer this lucky draw, including to contact you for the administration of prizes in relation to this lucky draw.
    2. To disclose and/or publish your name, particulars, and pictures/photographs for publicity purposes.
  8. Winners will be selected randomly from the pool of entries by means of a computerized draw using a randomization formula under the supervision of an external auditor (the “Draw“). The Draw will be conducted on 25 October 2024, between 9am to 6pm at HSBC’s office located at Mapletree Business City, 20 Pasir Panjang Road (East Lobby) Level 13, Singapore 117439. The number of winners of the Draw (each, a “Winner“) and the prizes that will be awarded (each, a “Prize“) are as follows:

  9. The Winners will be announced on HSBC’s website at hsbc.com.sg/adventure within 7 calendar days from the Draw date. A letter containing the details of redemption of the relevant Prize (“Letter“) will be sent to each Winner by registered mail at his/her address in HSBC’s records within 7 calendar days from the Draw Date. Each Winner must notify HSBC by 15 November 2024 if they have not received the Letter.
  10. Each Cardholder may win a maximum of one Prize (i.e. if a Cardholder is selected as a Winner of any given Prize, he/she shall not be eligible to be selected as a Winner of any other Prize). The Prizes are non-transferrable, non-redeemable for cash, non-assignable, non-exchangeable and non-replaceable; save that HSBC may, at its discretion, substitute a Prize with an item or items of equal or similar value. Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, provincial and local taxes that may apply to the Prizes. In the event that a Winner elects not to collect or utilize all or any portion of a Prize, such Prize or portion thereof shall be deemed forfeited.
  11. Use of the Prizes is, where applicable, subject to the terms and conditions of the merchants providing the relevant products and/or services; please refer to the respective merchants for details. HSBC is not a supplier of the products and/or services provided by the merchants involved in this Promotion and will not accept any liability in relation thereto. There will be no replacement of any lost, defaced, damaged or stolen Prize (or any part of it) after issuance.
  12. With regard to the Grand Prize:
    1. The Grand Prize only includes (i) the vehicle described in Clause 8, (ii) the prevailing Goods and Services Tax, Additional Registration Fee (ARF), import duty, Vehicles Emission Scheme surcharge (VES) and standard equipment for the vehicle, and (iii) a warranty for 3 years or 100,000 km (whichever is earlier) in respect of the vehicle.
    2. The Grand Prize does not include any other items or expenses relating to the vehicle (including but not limited to road tax, insurance, Certificate of Entitlement (COE), private registration fee, number plate expenses or any other duties, fees, taxes, costs or other charges which may be imposed in respect of the vehicle by the relevant authorities and/or which may be required to register the vehicle) (“Expenses“). All applicable Expenses shall be borne solely by the Winner of the Grand Prize.
    3. If the Winner of the Grand Prize fails to pay for any applicable Expenses, HSBC shall have the discretion to disqualify him/her from receiving the Grand Prize, and select a new Winner of the Grand Prize in accordance with Clause 16.
    4. The Grand Prize may only be transferred to and registered in the name of the Winner of the Grand Prize, and HSBC and Cycle & Carriage (as the authorized dealer of the Grand Prize in Singapore) (the “Dealer“) are not obliged to transfer or register the Grand Prize in the name of any other person.
    5. The Grand Prize is subject to the Dealer’s and/or the applicable car manufacturer’s terms and conditions; please refer to them for further details.
  13. With regard to the Runner Up Prize:
    1. The Runner Up Prize will be awarded in the form of 86,000 KrisFlyer miles directly to each relevant Winner’s KrisFlyer membership account (as at 24 June 2024, 86,000 KrisFlyer miles can be used to redeem a “Economy Saver Award” return ticket from Singapore to Paris).
    2. To receive the Runner Up Prize, each relevant Winner must have a valid KrisFlyer membership account by such date as may be notified by HSBC.
    3. The awarded KrisFlyer miles can only be used for the redemption of base air fare and cannot be used to offset any taxes or surcharges.

  14. HSBC is not responsible for any failure or delay in the transmission or posting of transactions by any party, including but not limited to any acquiring merchants, merchant establishments or telecommunications provider.
  15. In the event that a Cardholder’s Card is voluntarily or involuntarily cancelled or terminated or suspended for any reason, or the Cardholder is determined by HSBC not to have fulfilled the conditions of the Promotion, HSBC reserves the right to disqualify such Cardholder from receiving any Prizes.
  16. In the event any Winner is uncontactable, fails to collect a Prize, and/or is determined by HSBC to be disqualified or otherwise ineligible to receive a Prize (each, an “Ineligible Winner“), the Prize will be forfeited by the Ineligible Winner. HSBC shall have the right to randomly select a reserve winner (the “Reserve Winner“) during the Draw. In the event that the Winner of the Grand Prize is an Ineligible Winner, HSBC shall have the right to award the Grand Prize to the Reserve Winner instead.
  17. HSBC’s records relating to this Promotion including but not limited to any details relating to registration and Qualifying Spend shall be final and binding on all Cardholders.
  18. HSBC reserves the right to vary, delete or add to any of these terms and conditions, or withdraw or alter the Promotion at any time.
  19. Should there be any issues related to this Promotion, Cardholders should contact HSBC at 1800-HSBC NOW (4722 669) by 15 November 2024.
  20. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

(B) Live your Adventure Lucky Draw with HSBC Credit Cards FAQs

  • All HSBC Credit Card applications must be applied between 21 June to 23 September 2024; and approved and activated by 7 October 2024 to be eligible.
  • All Registrations for Qualifying Spend must be submitted between 24 June to 23 September 2024, both dates inclusive to be eligible.
  • All Qualifying Spend must be transacted between 21 June to 23 September 2024, both dates inclusive to be eligible.

This Promotion is applicable to customers:

  • who are residing in Singapore with a valid Singapore residential address;
  • who hold one or more main HSBC credit cards (not including HSBC US dollar credit cards, HSBC corporate cards and HSBC debit cards) issued by HSBC in Singapore (each, a “Card“) as a primary credit cardholder; and
  • whose Card account is in good standing with HSBC over the entire Promotional Period and at the time of fulfillment (as determined by HSBC at its discretion), (each such customer, a “Cardholder“).

Only local Retail Transactions, Online Transactions and Overseas Transactions (not including the Excluded Transactions) as defined below would count towards the minimum Qualifying Spend.

For the purpose of this Promotion:

Yes. All Qualifying Spend transactions charged to the Primary Cards in the name of the same Cardholder will be aggregated together to qualify for the minimum Qualifying Spend.

Supplementary cardholders are not eligible for this Promotion. However, for each main Cardholder who is a Registered Cardholder, Qualifying Spend made by supplementary cardholders will be consolidated under such main Cardholder’s Card account for the purpose of accumulating the relevant minimum Qualifying Spend.

An acknowledgement of participation will be displayed after the E-Form is submitted but you will need to ensure that the registration details provided is accurate otherwise you will not be successfully registered and will not be eligible for the Promotion. This acknowledgement of participation does not equate to qualification of the Prize, even if all the requirements of the participation is met.

Verification of the qualifying spend will only be done after the end of the Promotion Periods thus HSBC is not able to advise how many chance(s) you have earned before the end of the Promotional Periods.

After the Promotional Periods, HSBC will verify if the minimum Qualifying Spend (less off any refunds/cancelled transactions) has been met by the Registered Cardholder. Qualifying Spend made by supplementary cardholders will be consolidated under the main Cardholder’s HSBC Card account for the purpose of accumulating the minimum Qualifying Spend.
